  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hi guys,
Shooting a short film, mostly exterior shots, some interiors.
I'm shooting all hand-held with easy rig + ALEXA.
it's mostly sequence-shots. so i want some versatility, and to be light.

I'm debating on what lenses i want to shoot with.

i have acces to a set of high speed, would be great for look, but since it's sequence shots i'm kinda stuck with 1 focal length.

I was thinking of shooting on Zoom, but which one....

i'm used to 24-290 Optimo, 30-80, and also Alura 15-45 and 30-80.
I think Alura are too clean, I wanted a vintage look in first place for this film.
I also need good aperture, but 2.8-3. could be ok. dont need 2.2 or so..

I can shoot with 2 zooms let's say, a wider one, and a telephoto one if needed, so i can keep it light.
6-7 lbs seems alright, around that weight..

I shot once with 10-100 COOKE, but too big, too heavy..

Any suggestions?
A 18-50 range + 30-100mm range or something would be great..

Maybe old Cooke Zoom, Old Zeiss? Any suggestions i don't know much about old zooms

if you have examples, etc would be great

Let me know
thanks
