Looking for some PL macro lens advice for shot in superbowl commercial

Hi Red Users:

I'm involved in a job to film watches. We're currently using the Arri 100mm T3 macro with my EPIC.

Nice lens, although the version we've rented does seem to have some breathing problems. We've tried to get the new Master Prime version and have had no luck at CSC here in NYC (we were told there are only 5 in the NYC area). We're committed to the PL lens because we require the stability of a remote follow focus and Canon mount glass won't focus as smoothly.

So, are there any alternative PL lenses you would suggest? Is there a source to rent the Master Prime 100mm macro you may know? What we shoot will be used in the company's superbowl commercial so we're eager to make this great.

It's a little different approach, but I've had great results using the PS technik skater scope - you can get very high quality close focus on whatever PL taking lens you want, which can be a bit wider than a traditional macro which makes the background much more fun and helps with DOF. Snorkel / Scope style also helps get camera out of the way of the lights.

The Arri 200mm Macro is a good option as well. You can get the same size frame as the 100, but from twice as far away, giving you more room for lighting.

Swing and Tilts are useful for macro as well because you can focus all the way to the glass surface and swing them to hold more of the shot in focus.
