Looking for opinions about DSMC shoulder pad

Before I purchase the DSMC shoulder pad from the red store, would anyone care to share their opinion about how comfortable it is with a fully kitted Epic on your shoulder? For, say, 10 or 12 hours a day? It doesn't look like the padding is too substantial, but I thought I'd ask.

I hate to say it, but it's not the most comfortable pad.
