Looking for a RED in Utah

I'm shooting a really low budget feature in Utah. It's an action/creature film aimed at foreign markets. We will have it ready for the Fall markets to begin making sales immediately.

I am looking for someone to rent me a RED package for deferred pay/equity investment. We are shooting 25 August to 8 September (2 weeks).

We have distribution, and with such a low budget we will make money right away (ie. you'll get paid pretty soon thereafter). I am an experienced producer with 2 theatrically released features to my credit.

yikes. good luck getting anything from anyone without offering money for their services. Im sure you guys have the money and the distribution but its pretty rare to find someone who is willing to give you a camera package on faith only that you will get them money in the long run. Remember, nothing is secure until the check clears. I would do it, (I grew up on Utah and getting you the package from LA would be easy as pie) but I dont see any reason to do it for nothing more than an equity investment.

Really you have distribution that's not Youtube? Then you ought to have money to actually shoot the movie shouldn't you? That or it's a poor distribution deal. Fall starts Sept 1st- so you're going to have the thing ready to distribute while it's still shooting? That doesn't sound too high quality if it's an action/creature film, don't those usually take a while in post to complete? Anyways- this is a Real Names-only board so good luck.

kynang, like Noah mentioned, you should see if you can get the admins to change your name to your "real" (first and last) name, and also give us a link to your IMDb page so we can see some examples of your work.

There was a company called "4K Utah" who had a Red - I don't know if they're still going since they had to shut their website down after copying our website word-for-word, page-for-page, right down to using some of our footage!!! Unbelievable cheek...check them out if they're still going - they sound about on your level.
