I'm looking for a baseplate for a V-Raptor.

The RED/Creative Solutions option is perfect, but a little pricey, and I don't need another 10-12" Dovetail.

8Sinn and W/C have great looking plates, and like the mini 4-5" Dovetail option, but everyone seems to be a little vague about riser heights/lens heights. Can something designed for the Komodo work? Do most rod-mounted matt boxes have enough adjustment in them to make up the difference? Does anyone make a plate that is the exact height to account for the difference between the Komodo and the Raptor so that Komodo support would fit. Any thoughts?

I've looked at Kondor Blue, Tilta and Small Rig, all have the Dovetail receivers that work with some Arri-style dovetails (the ones that have "wings" for lack of a better term) but not all Arri-style dovetails (the kind that are solid wedges)

Kind of strange but Im using a combo of both the Bright Tangerine Left Field 15mm studio spacing base plate with the Tilta cage and it gives me the correct height when using my Tilta matte box with the 15mm LW built in the Tilta Raptor cage and still works with other 15mm studio spacing matte boxes with the Left Field base plate with dove tail...
I had the same issue in that there doesn't seem to be a lot of info about the height needed from baseplate to bottom of camera to accommodate for correct alignment of matte boxes or lens support etc. Even Gates underwater housing has a separate riser to make the V raptor work in their Action housing...

All of this said...I was using the Komodo WC 15mm LW riser before all this just to get lens height to work for support. With the BT Left Field 15mm studio setup.
