Nobody wants to build this; or should I say, they'll build it as a one off and charge me a mint for it.

Don't say nobody wants to build this, manufacturers just need time.

OK - I'll give you that, and I'll amend my statement to:

None of the half dozen accessory manufacturers that make this type of thing for RED DSMC cameras - that I have contacted personally with a query and drawings - has responded positively. They have all been dismissive, saying that there will be no demand for such a thing, but that they would make one custom, for a heavy price tag.

Hey jason - I put your name on the back burner while you worked through your current *situation*. But now that you know… maybe this will appear at your next N.A.B. hotel party?

Glen, in a way you are a genius. I really needed to focus on the Carbonite Scope in order to finish it. I'm glad I was able to focus and get it done. Now I'm open to new projects. I was thinking about this type of gear. Its true that its a low-demand item and would need to be handled a certain way in order for it to work out for everybody's. Here's what I propose:

If we can make a quantity as low as "5" of these Long Top Plates, then I will make them affordably. What I need is to get a list of specs that everybody can agree on and then I can move forward with production. Anyone that wants to join this can email me at jason@CinemaOxide.com and include your list of requirements. I hope I am able to help people out on this one.
