  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Lomo square anamorphic question...

There are a bunch of tests on Vimeo. I just worked on a movie with them. Pretty cool if that's the look you are going for. Really cool flares.

They are exactly what you would expect. The newer ones are better than the older ones. The flares are characteristic of lenses with the anamorphic element in front of the lens. The flairs are blueish. They breath. They are not razor sharp, but they look pretty good. Old ones can be mechanically iffy. I used one from 1967. Mine are from the late 70's and mid 80's.

I was using them with an MB-19, no problem, obviously you need a neoprene donut. The first 2 digits of the serial number are the year the lens was made.
