For sale is this lovely 25-80mm short zoom. I bought the lens around this time last year from Raf at RafCamera. This was his original description of the lens:
support system - any camera can hold it on its own. This lens was professionally serviced, collimated, adjusted by Olex Kalynychenko in Ukraine. The lens is still there, and will be shipped from there. Only noticed issues are couple of
linear damages of coating layer on the front element. They don't affect image quality."
The lens has seen little use since we purchased it for our documentary, with around 30 shooting days all in all. The lens was always carried around in a flight case, handled incredibly carefully and never rented out. As Raf states above, it was serviced by Olex (the service sticker still in place) prior to shipping out to us in the UK.
Once we received the lens, we wanted to get it inspected by an independent third party to insure that all was good, so we sent the lens to Les Bosher, England’s Lomo expert, to get the lens collimated, make sure it held focus and to make sure the blemish did not affect the picture at all. Les gave the lens a thumbs up and added that it was one of the nicer copies that he’s had recently.
The lens comes with an Arri PL mount and standard 32 pitch (Mod 0.8) gears over both focus and zoom rings.
We were especially pleased by the incredibly creamy bokeh and low contrast from this lens. Please find the some pictures below, do let me know if you’d like anything else in particular:
We are looking for offers in the region of $4500 / €3950 + Shipping
If you'd like to get an idea of the look, this film was shot almost entirely on the Lomo:
