LOMO 35OPF18-1 20-120mm f/2.5 parfocal PL cine zoom lens
Product images (more than just the attached 5 images): https://imgur.com/a/EaZIP5f
Sample footage (UHD 16:9 24x13.5mm): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyL5-CCqtDo
Sample images (10MP 3:2 24x16mm): https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...kxdjUT-8yCy8LQ
Based on the classic Cooke Varotal 20-100mm/2.8 but with increased speed and zoom ratio, the LOMO 35OPF18-1 is one of the finest Soviet zoom lenses. It has a close focus of 0.8m throughout the range and is parfocal. It also has a crazy macro mode that allows you to focus as close as the surface of the front element. Bonus: this macro ring can be used to adjust backfocus on the fly if your camera mount is too far out of spec or shimming is not an option.
Optics:
- Glass and coatings look clean except for some specks of dust and some very small hairline scratches on the front element, no fungus or haze.
- Some very tiny, transparent spots on rear element, not sure what from. No effect on image.
- Shimmed, tested on my calibrated Metabones PL-E adapter on my Sony A7III and with the factory PL mount of my Sony F3. Macro mode is not parfocal.
Mechanics:
- Focus and zoom rings are consistent and easy to turn.
- Aperture blades are a bit oily but the aperture ring is smooth to turn.
- Macro ring is smooth to turn but locking mech has some play at the 0 position (must make sure to push ring up against locking mech for correct backfocus, can be easily secured with tape).
- Connection between lens and PL mount is tight but operable for installing a teleconverter or anamorphic adapter.
Body:
- Overall very good condition, only minor scuffs and scratches.
Main bits included:
- LOMO 35OPF18-1 zoom lens
- Olex Services PL mount
- Adjustable lens support for 15mm/19mm rods
- Wooden Camera 15mm 15-inch stainless steel support rods (2x)
- FunkyFotosGroup 0.8 mod focus and zoom gear rings
- Pelican 1550 case (with new foam insert)
- LOMO push-on front lens cap and IronGlass PL rear lens cap
- LOMO rear filter holder
Selling due to lack of use and to fund other endeavours. Stored in humidity controlled cabinet.
Looking for 5500 USD, open to local trades for cine lenses, Sony A7SIII, or other Sony cine cameras. Local pickup preferred (Sydney, NSW) but can ship fully insured via courier.
