Some of my R3D crashes FCP. Get the nasty little ball of death.
And get a "failed to open file" in REDCINE X.
Really annoying.

The quicktime versions of the same files are fine. And it opens in REDALERT.
Running FCP 6.0.6
MacOS 10.5.8

What to do? Thankful for any input.

Log and Transfer in FCP in my experience is unstable. I would try another method.

The same R3D files shows up as black in the old REDCINE, but then I touch the image controls shows up fine. So they work after fiddling with them in old REDCINE and crashes FCP and doesn't show up in REDCINE X. Upgraded to Snowleopard, same problem.
Would like to have a good workflow with FCP and Color. For all my RED files:)

Anyone think upgrading to FCP 7 would fix it?

Martin
