locking EF mount for Komodo?

Howdy. I am looking for a locking RF to EF adpater for Komodo. I have the canon one, but it's mad flimsy. Kippertie has one, but for me the whole point of using EF lenses is that they are cheep. I have a pl mount, and expensive lenses, I want a cheap but not crappy option. I just want a dumb adapter, no electronics, no focal length reducer, just something simple, dumb, cheep, and solid.

Does it exist? I can't find one anywhere.

What is the price range? Kippertie have the Revolva system, but also just a simple adapter (called adapta I think). Metabones too do a locking version but both are in the £500 range. I read somewhere today that DZOFilm have expanded their Octopus adapters which I think maybe more what you're after but I don't know if you can get the RF/EF yet.

Well, I would like to spend less than 500 pounds ; -) I finally found a VILTROX locking ef adapter with no optics and it's about $100 US. If it's too sloppy on the RF side, I may have to make some sort of a foot or some other mounting point to hold it in place.

I can't seem to locate a Viltrox locking EF-R adapter without speed booster on the net. I contacted Metabones a year ago about the need for such an adapter, supposed tobe released Q1 of 2022 but nothing yet. This doesnt seem too difficult to make one with no optics and proper back spacing.

It doesn't have amounting foot, but I have machine tools, and should be able to make something up pretty easily.

The c7 adapters one is just what I am looking for, but again, a little pricey for what I want. I may have to just bite the bullet and buy an expensive one, no problem with that really, I'd just rather not spend the money if I don't have to ;-)

Actually, I just figured out a work around. The EF mount lenses I use on komodo are Chiopt zoom, and rokinon cine DS with modified 95mm fronts. My matte box for that set up is the Tilta MB-T12. Using the camp on ring with the 15mm rod adapter grabs the front of the lens and locks it to the rods, so no twist. $45 for a spare 15mm support bracket so I have one on each size clamp for the MB.

And the Viltrox adapter literally just showed up in the mail, so between the two that should solve my problem.

And after testing the Viltrox adapter, it takes care of 99% of the issue of play in the mount. So good enough for the uses I need it for. Also, my zoom holds focus throughout the range with it, so Flange depth seems accurate. Would recommend.
