Great clip John. I always wonder on these types of commercials are all of those patrons hired actors? Are they friends of the restaurant owner or are their meals comped in order to use their likenesses in an airable commercial?

If they have enough budget, I would use pro actors, especially if there are going to be featured prominently. Since they have no money for actors (very usual in these local ads) I asked the establishment to comped my friends meals just to have them show up.

That sounds like a very good idea. I like these types of commercials as you don't have to mess with audio besides the voiceover. You can take your time to get the perfect product shots.

what kind of lighting did you use? i really liked except few highlights in first 10 seconds..
now im HUNGRY!!!

That was the first time for me shooting Food, I was nervous but I think everything turned out good. As for lighting, I dont have much, on the food shots I have 2x 120 watt tungsten bulb hanging from a china ball above to warm the images and two small zylight daylight on both sides to give the food some highlights.
