With all of the craziness in the world right now, and how it is affecting productions, I have been looking for information on how to set up my Gemini to create a livestream that clients can view in real time. I am familiar and comfortable working with OBS, but am looking for the easiest way to get the signal from the camera into the computer. Does anyone have an easy and affordable way to get Red cameras set up for a live stream? Any information is appreciated!

I currently have a teradek xt setup for wireless monitoring. I’m thinking there might be a way to get those transmitters to send a feed straight into the computer with the addition of a pcie card maybe? Not totally sure, but would be nice to leverage equipment I already have since there is a lot of uncertainty around when my type of commercial productions will be up and running again.

Thanks in advance!

Awesome, thank you for the recommendations! I think I'm leaning towards the Web Presenter so I can take advantage of sdi. And it looks like they both take the same approach of spoofing a web cam, which is a great solution.

Thanks again!

I've had a lot of success using the little Blackmagic Ultrastudio Mini Recorder, both straight out of the Red's SDI or HDMI or a handful of cameras through a switch.. it's great for the price point and size

The BM web presenter streams at a max of 720p
The BM ATEM mini streams at a max of 1080p

Lets wait for tomorows update.

Atem Mini Pro was announced. Thinking about preordering. Anybody have any experience running a Red through the Atem mini? Any thoughts on the most reliable sdi to HDMI converters?

If you have a video I/O module like an AJA I/O or one of Black Magic's Decklinks, you can use that with VMix or Telestream.

I'm hoping Assimilate will integrated LiveLooks with Scratch's livestreaming feature also...

For a very very simple way of showing a remote client your Red output and communicating with them in the way I want the BM web presenter works very well... we have managed to do 2 very little jobs in our studio whilst observing currrent lockdown UK regulations.

In the studio I have the HDMI fed by a cheap camera with wide lens giving a set overview I then switch to the red HDSD1 output when I am offering up a shot. Works well..

We got the little front panel so all settings are physical buttons...

Ps when my partner is in he does it differently he has it permanently on HDSDI but sets up his phone as a 2nd Skype/zoom input..
