  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Live stream your EPIC - and playback - to 8 iPads

Seems to require a mac? PC version of the encoder plus Android or Win8 support and it becomes a lot more interesting. Mac may have a passionate fanbase, but me and 90% of the market aren't on that platform.

QTake is a mac only application. There is nothing that even comes "sort of close" to the feature set of QTake for video assist - which is why it is now used on virtually every single major motion picture. The cost of a top of the line mac book pro is less than the cost of a decent SDI monitor - so ... for 99% of the video assist market - the MAC platform is not an issue - and actually preferred based on all of our feedback since 2009.

Jake, you do need to have at least the X1 (single camera) base module to add the QTake Stream Module. Most folks will buy, or rent-to-own an "X2 bundle" which has the modules for editing and compositing and then add other modules - some folks also do X1 bundle and then upgrade later to X2. 4K module is coming soon and some other really exciting stuff at NAB 2014.

Modules are listed here - http://qtakehd.com/modules/
