Lite-Panels - Quality Issues

I purchased four of the 1' panels several months ago - all good. Quality consistent with RED.

Just got the RingLite Mini Kit ($2300) and the small MiniPlus with battery ($1000) and am sending them right back. Very poor fit and finish on both. On the Mini, the very small battery plug just falls out and the parts are C- Chinese quality. Really crude / dumb industrial design throughout. The RingLite has a tortured mounting bracket which uses 10-32 screws to mount to the ring. If it had 1/4-20's I would try to love it but there are more fit and finish issues with it. Never even turned them on.

I've read on B&H their Sola light is crap. I'm not sure LitePanels is the company it was even 6 months ago or they are having all the prosumer products farmed out to low bid guy in Shenzhen. Either way, I'm still looking for a Ringlight and Mini.

Any ideas?

Man, I love my 1x1 bi-colors. Haven't seen the ringlite or minis, but I wasn't impressed with the Sola either, when I saw it at NAB. What a bummer.

I can't help you on the ringlite, but interested to hear if there are any other quality options. Best of luck!
