Hi Guys,
So since upgrading to the new firmware i have this weird problem. Where after shooting for some time lines come in the footage, When I stop recording the lines dissapear. I've tried secure formatting the card but the only thing that works is go back to firmware before the new image pipeline. Anyone knows what this could be.

Attached a r3d. Settings 8K HD 12:1 it's for a TV doc so that's why the higer compression.
25FPS, 512GB minimag.

That's strange. My only thought is that since you're saying it comes up after "some time" it makes me think it's temperature related.

I'm assuming you properly did a black shade calibration after the firmware upgrade?

I would say if a firmware reinstall and a blackshade doesn't fix it, it seems like something Red needs to look at directly.

yeh offcourse :-)

Just did a new roll, same card. Didn't happened this time. I keep my eye on it and 3th of January I will send a log to RED.

Allright it's time to send her in. Dammn bad luck. The first time buying a Scarlet X 4 years ago, it came in broken, bad board. And now Epic-W broken. Shit Sucks so hard.
I know the guys at RED are doing their best and the customer service is amazing that's why I'm not angry or mad just sad because of my bad luck.

Mine arrived with a 0x0000001d error code and needed to be sent back for evaluation. It hurt a little bit it wasn't too bad in the end. You're in good hands with Red support.

Yeah it's allright, the customer service is stellar and always has. They will figure it out no doubt about it.

Mine had that error code during the weekend. First it wouldn't let me turn off false color, then wouldn't play back anything in camera. Next, it stopped showing any info on the histogram, stop lights and goalpost. Then wouldn't boot and gave me that error a bunch of times. it even did it after I reloaded firmware. I let it sit for about 30-60 minutes and decided to try it again, and it worked for the rest of the weekend without a problem. There are only two things I can think of that were different that could have caused an issue. First we were shooting in the unheated warehouse portion of our studio (in cold Pennsylvania during a snow storm). I don't really think that was it though. The second was this was the first time I used my Small HD 701 Lite with it. Is it possible that it didn't like the monitor, didn't like me patching and unpatching HDMI while the camera was on, or didn't like me turning the monitor on and off while the camera was still running? Not sure if i should send it in just to be sure, even though its working. I filed a support ticket but that was Saturday and surprisingly no one has gotten back to me at all. Not even an automated message. I'm kind of afraid to try that monitor again. Hopefully RED gets back to me and maybe can tell me what the issue was if I send them the log file without sending the camera in?

They had said mine was actually firmware related, but since they saw errors in the log file had me send it in anyway. Is this happening for you on current firmware?

I got it December 28th and it was loaded with the most current firmware. As far as I know there hasn't been any updates since then. I download d and reloaded the most recent firmware and after sitting an hour it works fine. Now I have been borrowing accessories and my v- lock I/O is coming Friday so I haven't been able to test it since Monday. But the errors happened Saturday morning and since it started working again, it went for two 12+ hour days without any signs of the error again. Hopefully it's the same case when my vlock gets here.
