Here's the trailer for the first episode, shot on Red One for the motion stuff and by Peter H. Chang on the Canon 5D MkII for the timelapse stuff:

We'll be shooting a bunch more episodes in the coming months in various countries on our new Mysterium-X sensor Red One (and Epic once we get it).

Enjoy!

Good job mate! :-D

That's great Paul! I really like the concept and trailer...

Should you need to team up with another Red shooter who works in that style of production, I'd be very happy to contribute to your series

Definitely put that on the must see list. Looks interesting.
As ever, I am a fan of your work Paul.

How about that MX night shot at the Shibuya crossing?:emote_popcorn:

Steve, thanks for the offer! If I need any additional Red shooters I'll definitely let you know!

David, I'll try to get a shot of Shibuya Crossing when I can, am really busy right now.

Cheers all,

Paul

Hey Paul, I'm really happy for you and Peter! Huge win for you guys, considering the amount money and gear this was shot on!

I hear that my man Dan Chung might be joining you guys in Shanghai... he's a blast to hang out with... a very funny guy and a very "in the moment" shooter.

Thanks, Tom! I had to make sure that "Baraka" was mentioned in the press release. You were an inspiration as well!

I hope it works out with Dan scheduling-wise - he's certainly an expert when it comes to shooting in China!

Now we need to figure out how to shoot Lightscapes in stereoscopic 3D! Imagine timelapse photography in S3D! Discovery has teamed with Sony and IMAX to create one of the nation's first 3D networks, launching later this summer. Here are "5 problems and pitfalls with shooting 3D: The Discovery Channel explains the 3D hurdles to overcome": http://www.techradar.com/news/television/5-problems-and-pitfalls-with-shooting-3d-692033

Tom, I want to publicly thank you here for helping me to get this shoot and work with Peter. You've opened an opportunity for me that I could scarcely have imagined a year ago and I can tell you here and now that I am eternally grateful and will not forget it, ever.

I'm looking forward immensely to shooting in Shanghai and other locations and making Lightscapes THE most visually breathtaking series on television. Behind "Southwest Light" of course!!

Cheers,

Paul

Nice... I see some epic quotes in there.

Great job on the producing and PR side of this, Peter. Pretty amazing what you pulled off, really.
Absolutely! Can't wait to shoot the next episodes....

Cheers!
