  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Lightning Strike w/ Rolling Shutter?

Lightning Strikes units are not pulsed sources, they're continuous...shortest burst length is 1/24th second. Not going to be a problem.

Done work with Martin Atomic 3000 strobes, which are pulsed sources, so when they are giving "continuous light", you do see rolling shutter weirdness (but it mostly looks cool)
 
Very true. Also, many films take quite the liberties with lightning... as in it's often longer and more frequent in duration than in real life. Only strobes tend to cut off with rolling shutters, and that is only 20% of the time anyway. You should be ok.
