Hi all,

I'm new to LightIron and todaipies I've emailed them this problem but have no response yet and I've searched the guide and online for an answer but so far no good.

What is the set up procedure regarding the folder or filename?

All my clips are being saved in 'project'

This is messy in the iPad as I want separate days for each clip collection

Thanks in advance guys

If I recall, Michael Cioni has some excellent videos on their site explaining this process clearly. Did you check that?

Hi James-
Didn't see an email come in about this so I'll look into it.

The Version 2 of Todailies that you have mirrors what is setup in the FINDER. In other words, the FINDER is the source of all your information, including the source of your file arrangement. That means you should setup your folders in your FINDER exactly how you want them to appear in the iPad. So if you build 10 days of folders in your Finder with a PROJECT/TITLE/DATE/CLIPS and then set your Light Iron Server project to view that directory, it will sync to your iPad and be organized exactly how it's organized in FINDER.

It sounds like the problem you are having is that your setup in your FINDER is 1 directory with all your content in that single folder. That means Todailies will put all your files in 1 directory, which is making it "messy."

So try a test where you setup unique folders in FINDER (which is the master) and Todailies will mirror exactly what you setup on your CPU. If you have any other problems, please email support (at) lightiron (dot) com.

best,
m

Thanks Michael I had set up a folder on my desk top it was set up as TITLE - DATE -CLIPS.

Everything saved as 'project' on my iPad :-(

I will try that on Wed when I'm next in. would it be possible put up some screen grabs?

Should my folder be in applications or macintosh HD?
