Hey everyone I need some advice. I am doing some pro bono work for some friends of mine and I need some advice on how to light a bedroom scene. But I have some obstacles to overcome and if anyonr can share some information it would be helpful.

Issue: I dont know exact size of room/ceiling height or dimensions. (Trying to find out exact size)

I have only the following lights available to me.

Yongnuo II lightstick
Godox 150 (2) with reflectors
Neewer 43" octabox with grid
1 giant chinaball unsure of size
3 led light panels unsure of brand.

I'm trying to recreate a similar look but im having issues getting the faces to illuminate without getting muddy looking shadows where theres multiple directions and its bugging me.

Any help is appreciated it

Hello Scott,
Hang the China ball under the ceiling behind the couple, that gives you the light on his shoulder and her face. Ideally on a stand with boom so you can adjust the exact position.
If it's a standard 1000w tungsten you will have to add some ctb to match colors. For his face and shoulders I would suggest white cardboard low to the right of the camera lit with a Godox 150. To avoid lighting her face the light is flagged or cut of by the bed. One backlight to the left of the bed for her hair, pillow and his right arm/shoulder. Your lights are not powerful enough to compete with daylight. So make sure you bring tape and black fabric or bin liners to black out windows.
Use the other lights dimmed to add little details to walls and bed. I would also black out 1/2 off the China ball so you don't get unwanted light on the back walls.

I actually don't have a 1k for the china ball, it would have to be some sort of practical light fixture up to 150 watts

Your china ball is just the paper lantern without fixture? If you have no access to other lighs, try using the led panels in the same spot. What camera are you using? For a Dragon sensor red it's really not enough light to avoid noise in the shadows
