Light Iron - OUTPOST Job Opening
Light Iron has built a reputation of being a technical leader and innovator in the file-based post production community. OUTPOST is Light Iron’s mobile post production platform that allows for on-set / near-set backup, data verification, color correction, offline editorial file creation, and on-set dailies creation - all from its portable and scalable OUTPOST mobile systems.
We are looking for qualified people to join our growing OUTPOST team. Members of the team assemble OUTPOST systems, test new software & hardware, track inventory, support projects in the field, and train system operators. Please note, this job opening is not for operating the systems on set as a DIT / DMT.
If you are a self starter with the ability to think on your feet and solve complex problems under pressure, you may have what it takes.
Applicants must have:
- Experience with Digital Cinema Cameras (e.g., Alexa, RED, F65) and their related workflows
- Strong knowledge of Mac and Windows Operating systems
- Experience with Transcoding
- General computer networking
- Experience with Avid, FCP, Resolve and other dailies software
- Willingness to travel
- Knowledge of set etiquette
Additional preferred skills:
- Post production experience
- Sound syncing
- One light color correction
- Scripting languages (Apple script, Python)
