Hey guys!

I just wanted to share some of our experiences with RED SCARLET-X.

A clothing manufacturer, YA Los Angeles, approached us to produce a video for their booth at the MAGIC fashion tradeshow in Las Vegas. We were given one day to shoot 6 locations and 6-7 wardrobe/style changes. Needless to say that it was a Run n Gun style of shooting with a bit of Glidecam work from our Canon 60D.

Before the shoot, we hadn't gotten our DSMC Side Handle yet, so we contacted some friends from the OC REDUSER group to rent one. No sooner did I send a rental request, RED tells use the our Side Handle was ready for pick up! I feel like for shoots similar to this the Side Handle is a MUST.

Going between harsh light, stark shadow, and lighting color temperatures that were all over the place, we had little to no time to perfect our white balance and ISO settings. This is where the REDCODE really shined. During the post process, we were able to tweak the shot's shooting settings to perfection, after the fact!

Here is a still we pulled from our RED SCARLET-X.

Stills were at 4k so they were printable if we needed them to be.

Presented here is a 1 minute web-friendly highlight reel of the footage we shot.

You can see that we didn't use any rigs for our RED SCARLET-X. Just grabbed the side handle, focus and shoot.
