Was talking to a guy about lipo and Li-Fe batts today and was curious if you could use a 5s Li-Fe batt on a red epic? I know it has to be above 14.8v which a 5s would be. Li-Fe batts are so much less dangerous.. it seems like it would be a good fit if it worked. Anyone know? Thoughts?

Interesting, but it doesn't look like there is much to win here (only looking at size/weight):

TopFuel LiFe 30C 4100mAh 5S: 4100mAh / 660g / 111 x 68 x 47,5mm
REDVOLT: 2500mAh / 249g / 83 x 43 x 43mm
REDVOLT XL: 6150mAh / 712g / 82 x 86 x 65mm

Have you seen some better batteries?

Still, those things are cheaper and maybe easier to get. I don't see a reason why they shouldn't be usable.

Add the Revolt module or side handle to the weight and LIPO or Li Fe begins to look better.
