Has anyone checked out the LG 40UB800 4K monitor as a directors monitor or for focus pulling? It's UHD also wondering if it would work as descent display monitor.

A 40 inch television as a directors monitor is probably not a good idea. Better to go with a 24 inch tops. You also don't need 4K to do focus. But I recommend not looking at a monitor while pulling focus, because it's much more accurate to do without than trying to find focus while recording. Also, you can't get a 4K feed out of the camera so a 4K screen won't matter anyway.
