  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Also so either we get the letus juicebox/battery or we power via vmount correct?

Yes and yes.

Onboard batteries will give you so much more flexibility. I don't think I will always use them but many times they will be the way to go.

I realize the 4th axis seems like an expensive add-on, but in the big picture of the cost of the whole system, so much is going on that will make the 4th axis a very valuable and module.

If I was rich enough, I'd get in on a second group buy, not only to support the tremendous company that Letus is but to be able to say that I own a Double Helix.:biggrin5:

Now just watch, Hien is going to come up with a way to stack two Helix' on top of each other and invent a whole new way of shooting cinema. (Hmmm...)

Well, you know that if he invented some kind of stereo gimbal rig, it just SCREAMS for the name "Double Helix." And if you only knew how synchronistic this whole "Helix" episode has been in my life, what it has meant as a metaphor for what feels like a climactic phase of the intense spiritual journey that began for me 5 years ago. Someday I hope to be able to share some of those details with Hien. I think he'd get a kick out of them since, in the metaphor, he is cast in the role of "God.":-)

May be you will revolutionise 3D and bring it back from its death bed by shooting with a Double Helix. :)

Hi Eli,

I just confirmed with Letus, and they, unfortunately, aren’t going to do a second group buy at this time. If that changes I will let you know, so that you can get in on it.
