  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Letus Gimbal

Damn, I'm 33247, no. 70 I thought I ordered it soon after it went up. Must be a lot of buyers. Leaving for a shoot in La Habana, Cuba on the 21 with various dance groups, was hoping to have this to get dancers POV. My partner, smoothest hand held op and best dancer I know is named Gene Kelley. We're dying to use the Helix. Come on Letus- crank these out so we can get you some beautiful footage.

Hi Scott, how did you figure out your number ? I'm 33251, does that make me 74? I counted only 70 in the forum.

I was going by Terry saying his preorder # was 32178, and only #2 instead of #1 and counted from there.

Those six-digit numbers might not not even relate to Helix pre-orders. They could be general order numbers for all product sales in the Letus online store. I'm 33323. That would mean I am #146 in line. (or maybe I am). I must say I've never liked buying serial number 000001 (or equivalent) of a new product anyway.

The numbering is just the general numbering for ALL Letus orders....
But when we got our Emails for Pre-orders we did the preorders. These numbers count. (Between those orders could be other orders, so you can't make up the number of Helixes from there)
And there will be delivered from the Preorders Numbers. But doesn't matter because I am guessing the'll ship out a first batch of more Helixes in 1 go. (as it seems)

Oh yes... and I have #33177 ;)

After seeing recent vids of the helix in action jumping ship from the Ronin. Really like that you can hold this thing in close to the body. Read somewhere on here that the helix can be modified to attach to a heli. Anyone know the details and gear necessary to make this happen?

Heli capability has yet to be shown but it would seem possible with the 4th axis adaptor. That set-up weighs about 8 lbs. though.

Zip - don't see why not. Again 4th axis bracket should facilitate that. Again, unproven, as yet.

Stabilized Dutch angles via remote control . . . mmmmm donuts
