  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Letus Gimbal

Yes really great job. I just want to reiterate (for me) if you need a extra week or two to tweak and adjust for the best result in the first batch, please do. Would hate the second batch to ship with significant improvements! :wink5:

So no more wishes? Let's lock the design down and call it good. I enjoyed it very much working with such a group. You guys rock. FYI, we are excited to tell you that the custom motors will be shipped with first batch. It's structurally a lot stronger with 32% increase in torque.
Wait...wait! We still need a left-handed smoke-shifter built into it! ;-)
Great job Hien! You rock! I can't wait to try it out.

Terry,

With the right bribe, I can do it for you ;-)

Haha, if it is stabilised I'll take it :)..
Indeed big applaus for the whole Letus family, for the whole process... responsiveness, feedback etc.
:hurray:

Nice looking product Hienle. Your communication on this forum and brave approach of designing the product in real-time with us in plain view is amazing. Great stuff
Thanks for your compliment Zeb.

Let us at it! Excited to play with the Helix. Had a video shoot the other day where i spent the entire day on a Movi and loved the freedom that a gimbal gave my shot selection/movement.

With the helix I expect it to only get better. The clean design and larger payload alone are more promising not to mention all the additions you've made since the first version. Exciting times!

Since I feel this thread deserves at least one new post a day to help pass the time between product updates, I just want to say, Terry, that the beagle in your avatar is beyond adorable.:-) Looks like he/she enjoys posing, too!

That is Barney. He is almost as cute as his twin sister, Daisy. He's the "serious one."

To get this back on topic, I thought I'd ask how soon we might expect some video fro the latest prototypes.

My camera is controlled via a LANC port on the side. Is there a way to connect a LANC cable through the bridge? Or does anybody know of a good wireless solution?

Hi all,

With all the changes and we implement with RU's, we don't think we will be pushing out the schedule anything (maybe a few days), so we are still looking good at around 25th, except for the battery, that may comes a week or so later. The battery indicator, my circuit engineer is putting even an MCU in it so when it's really out of juice, it'll flash at you, so you won't ignore it. Tough to get in that tight space, but I think we got it. Working on the joystick also, hope to give you guys some options here. A lot of cable options are being made so you don't have to look far for it. And here is a new render for Terry.
