  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Let's keep track of canon mount deliveries.

To all those still waiting for their canon mounts, please reply to this thread when you receive your mount as well as an approximate time you placed the order.

Supposedly those o us who ordered early should be getting theirs soon.
My bomb squad rep said there was another small shipment going out now.

Fingers are crossed.
 
A small shipment?!?! .. man! o man!...

They must have like 1 guy knocking them out in his spear time.... or they have had 10,000 orders in the last month!

Yes I'm keen to know how long these things will take too... I HATE BACK ORDERS!!!! hate hate hate it!

I'm going to order another 3 more! stuff it. What the hell. Im ordering more cameras anyway... so I may as well just order everything thing now... and hope to hell they may sync up with my camera orders.
 
I think it will be hard to figure things out without close to 100% participation.

The thread seems like a good idea, but it can also be taken as a type of "watchdog" thing. Like we somehow have to police RED a bit.

I hope it is not coming to that.

RED has been really great lately at letting everyone know what is shipping and when. So far, even though it seems like things are trickling out we have no idea how many people who have ordered DO NOT bother posting here. We (the reduser community) aren't the only customers.

This said, considering there are 70million Canon lenses in the world we could assume it would be a hot item.

I like your approach Mark, backorder should not be "the norm" it should be the exception.

I agree David.. Just a bit curious that some people that ordered after me have already received their emails.. Must be an error in the system somewhere or it doesn't go by who ordered first?

I ordered my M in July and still have no REDmote either.. Oh well.. Im sure they will both come soon :-)
 
I got the "email" last Thursday, BS rep processed on Friday, Mount shipped out overnight (per my request and cost) on Monday. Got it this morning. it is awesome, really solid, really cool.

EDIT: Ordered about 20min. after they appeared in the store.

Lay your case and stay on them.. or they will never know that you have been forgotten or pushed back or lost.
 
I got pushed back, I am done complaining, shit happens, would love the mount but really I just want a great relationship with my company. Troublesome, sure, but we are human and we can't keep track of everything... That being said, I was one of the first to put my canon mount in and no email or notification has been sent to me, and you know what? The Red Pro Primes I have are better anyways.
 
...ordered two Ti Canon mounts. One on August 27th and one on August 29th.

Has anyone received their mount with a later order date?
 
Ordered mine within an hour of release on August 26th and got the email on Nov 14th..

HARD WAIT!! But soooo happy :-)

I love it!

My guess is more Canon mounts were ordered then our wildest guess (I would say 1000 within 2 days)

ordered aug 27th and just got the email notification yesterday.
