In about 15 hours LEOPARD is officially shipping to the customers!

WHAT DOES IT MEAN RELATED TO THE RED USERS NOW AND IN THE FUTURE???

Great question in so far as it relates to Red Alert.

Upgrading Friday night from Tiger to Leopard and will post if there is anything funky.

Joe... come on man... PLEASE tell me you're doing something else on a Friday night other than upgrading an OS. :)

At least let me buy you some good Tequila for the.. ummm... party?

Today, Friday, October 26 is National holiday (Nationalfeiertag) here in Österreich/Austria.

Apple sent to me Mac OS X Leopard but I will get it on Monday.

If it's like every other upgrade I've made in Mac or PC... "now" headache... "future"... moderate improvements which you can't live without.

haha. Lucas, you're right. It's sad on a multitude of levels. But it must be done. Tequila would help though, no doubt.

Sigh, i'm such a nerd. :(

Spoken like a true Windows user! :holloween:
I'm not expecting it to change my world, but I am expecting it to be easy and painless. We'll see!

I upgraded last night (in Australia we were lucky enough to get this about 13 hours ahead of the US.) Leopard is utterly painless at this point, and makes workflow faster. Basic system response is up (at least on a Dual 3.0 Ghz Mac Pro). There are bugs, but nothing problematic. I'm not using Red Alert I hasten to add, but for FCP, Color and so on, there are no problems.

so far so good - we are going to hit it hard this week and we'll let you know if there are any nasty surprises - but so far, LOVIN' IT!

I'm in the middle of a client shoot with RED and have tested RED ALERT with Leopard on my 17" Macbook pro before upgrading the machines on set.

Works flawlessly.
