I just got my Epic and now i see my self shopping around for lenses! unfortunately my pockets just became extremely shallow! any Suggestions how what kind of two lenses to start off and still have a wide range covered??

It depends what you intend shooting and in what style... lots of run and gun or studio sticks based? (etc).

Epic with a PL or Canon mount? That's the first thing anyone will need to know :)

The RPZ 17-50 & 18-85 give you a good range. Or pick one zoom and go with a prime that gives you that extra bit of reach... ie 17-50 and then an 85 or 100.

Or look at the Canon mount and you'll get a lot more lenses in a cheaper price bracket (that will also auto focus etc)...

It's difficult to suggest lens options without a budget/guide.

The other option is to spend some time renting lenses and see what suits your style (and pocket).

1.Well lets see, its gonna be my friend/partner and my self.
2. its gonna be a lot of on the run type of shooting and sometimes tripod.
3. since we are investing in longterm we are thinking PL mount
4. budget is gonna be around $20k USD.

For a lot of run type and that budget, a Canon mount might be the better option (why not sell it later?).

You can get pretty good zooms with IS for a price that won't even get you a decent PL prime.

The smaller zoom from RED is a great option, but the longer one is really heavy. A great lens, though. No IS, of course.

"Less than an EPIC."

That's overly coy. How about less than a pair of Optimo DPs.

Does the servo grip have any interface for remote operation? Preferably Peston?

FYI I'm going to start a new thread over in the lens section as not to crap this one.

Yes!
