Lenses for Scarlet X

haha thanks sweetie
Wow, cute chick living fun city with unlimited budget for filmmaking gear .... WILL YOU MARRY ME??? ;)

Just kidding, I'm already spoken for and did very well with my wife, but glad you're here and choosing to go with Red.

As others have noted:

- Best cine lenses in PL - Leica C
- Best manual still lenses - Leica M series
- Best larger format lenses with AF - Leica S
- Best 35mm still lenses with AF - Nikon G

The last one is debatable, there are some serious Canon fans here - but read up on Evin Grant's posts about the latest Nikon lenses.

Exceptional performance, even wide open or f2, making them an amazing performance/value combo.

Thank you all for the help now I'm scared I wont be able to run around with these cams like I thought to shoot my girlfriends portfolio they all think I can make them models lol and stuff ,I thought these cams where small

Thank you sweetie Also looking into replacing my canon 5D with the new 1D so I can use all my canon glass still

You might want to check out this thread:

It outlines the difference between still and Cine lenses. There are noticeable differences between the two, and you'll have to sacrifice with either should you choose to go with Cine lenses, or Canon lenses. Cine lenses can be a large investment, but if the upsides intrigue you enough to convince you to purchase a set, you might seriously want to consider the RED Pro Primes. I heard good things - that build quality and optics are on par with more expensive sets, but at a much lower cost. So at least you could own a set without a huge financial investment. Plus, a well-maintained set of lenses retains their value quite well, so even if you find out they don't work for your purposes, you could sell them off for near what you paid.

I might need a camera man I didn't know they where so heavy will look into RED glass thanks xoxox

If you're going to be doing a narrative shoot, you'll want to have an experienced camera operator on your crew anyway. They can handle most of the camera set up, maintenance, and break down duties for you.

Maybe I should change my Avatar to a woman in underwear and I can get all my answers thrown at me.
