Lenses for PL mount and Nikon Mount

So I am sure that many of you senior members have been bombarded with questions since the R1 MX price drop and since this is my first post, I will fit right in! Basically I have been reading the forums and got a lot of good info about mounting rods, drives, ssd... etc. But I am having trouble finding some decent PL or Nikon mount glass that is relatively cheap. Well let me rephrase that, I know plenty of Nikon lenses but I just don't know if they are all compatible with the dumb Nikon mount? If anyone can answer with perhaps some lenses that they use on the R1 that are let's say under $1500 that would be awesome - or just link me to a thread that I missed. Thanks!

Oh and has the Birger Mount disappeared off the planet? It is really hard to find one of those things... Even used.

Check out RP Lens - http://www.rplens.com here in Grand Rapids. Owned by Peter Sensor, a working DP for many years, they always have a good selection of Nikon still glass that they convert for cine use. They source their glass from all over the world. They sell "matched" sets of lenses and I'm sure would sell individual lenses too. We have a set of their Nikkor primes that we absolutely love. Also they will cine-modify your existing lenses for $250, Peter is doing some for me right now.
