A Word About This Seller

A Word About This Seller

I would like to offer the REDuser community a word about this seller, Stuart Radin and his company Focus Optics. Back in 2007, during the run-up to the initial release of the RED One, I purchased a set of used Standard Speed Zeiss lenses from Stuart, which are still my main set of primes today.

I've never had a serious problem with them, but having seen a lot of use in the last two and a half years, (five features and a season of a TV series), the ring that holds the witness mark on the 85mm had become loose, which meant we would have to guess at focus and iris settings. Obviously it needed to be fixed right away, and was sent in for a rush repair, during the middle of a production day. Although it was a quick fix, I want to commend Stuart for dropping everything, (like the manufacture of his new Wide Angle zoom), and getting this crucial lens back to us within the same day.

The kicker is that there was no charge; he was kind enough to consider this a warranty repair even after this long period of heavy use. This speaks volumes about Stuart, his dedication to his customers, and the way he stands behind what he sells. REDusers should know that they can buy with confidence from Focus Optics.

Sincerely,
