Anyone else noticed that it looks like they switched lenses on the Netflix Marvel show 'The Defenders'?

Episode 1 and 2 looked pretty video like. Major purple fringing on highlights and objects in front of bright areas plus nasty rainbow bokeh.
Then suddenly episodes 3 & 4 seem much better, more filmic. None of the above that I've noticed... Maybe they just didn't shoot wide open after seeing the early footage?

I saw that they used Panavision lenses and was super surprised to see those nasty artifacts on the first 2 eps...

I'm watching the show and am not convinced there's been any change like this. They do light and color the scenes with each individual character very differently: Luke Cage's scenes are very warm and saturated; Jessica Jones' scenes are very cold and cyan/blue; Daredevil's scenes (particularly the night scenes) have hard-gelled yellow background lighting; but the scenes with villain Sigourney Weaver are clean and neutral, with white whites and black blacks. I believe it's all color-corrected by Tony D'Amore over at Encore/Hollywood on Resolve.

Note that sometimes, what you think is a lens artifact is something added in post. I get requests for anamorphic lens flares all the time (in spherical shows).

You wanna see some crazy lens changes - watch "American Gods" - now - of course - the show is HEAVILY treated / effects heavy - but they often flip between spherical and anamorphic - and yet it totally works for the show.
