Maybe he have already kill you and you don't know yet...:yikes:I think this is a coded message. He could tell us what it means but then he would have to kill us.
chuck did you retired from your little assasination sidejob?
Our FF35 DSMC lenses will be a hybrid cine/stills design. That's all I can say right now.

This is interesting.
According to Pawel Achtel's tests [link], the Master Primes have these image circles:
75mm: about 37mm diameter
35mm: 31mm diameter
14mm: 31.1mm diameter
How are these things measured? Is there a hard edge outside 31mm (on the 35mm lens), or is it where vignetting starts, or?
I think this is a coded message. He could tell us what it means but then he would have to kill us.
Thanks for the heads up Jim....EPIC 5K is accomplished with a 32mm image circle. The new RED Pro Primes are designed to accommodate that. Those lenses that only do a 30mm image circle (standard S35) will only cover 4K on the new EPIC S35 brain....

Floating elements have been around for a while now both in primes and zooms for cine and still camera use. Here is one of my favorites...

Please, can someone from RED confirm, that we can record 5k with the RED Pro 18-85mm zoom as well.
I can say that all MPs will be fine for full 5k sensor and certainly crisp and sharp corner to corner on 2:1 and 2.35:1 aspect ratios. Nice one!![]()
Anyone know the image circle size of Nikon and Canon still lenses?
A completely unrelated question, but if all lenses create image circles, then why are sensors rectangular?
