Lens Motor and Thumb / Finger Wheel options...

[Dave Draper]

Apologies if this isn't the right forum, but we're after a lens motor and thumb / finger wheel controller, to use on our Ronin-M, but also something that is compatible for shoulder mounted configurations as well.

Initially, we were looking at the DJI Focus Motor and Thumbwheel, but cannot source the Thumbwheel Focus Motor Cable to use the two together.

At the above link, it just says "Not available in your country/region".

What other options would you guys recommend in a similar price bracket?

There's the Tilta Nucleus-M package which includes handles with thumbwheels, and also the Teradek RTmotion thumbwheels that you can add onto their system. I own the RTmotion, so I'm a little bit biased, but it's been fantastic for me.

I have the Tilta and to be honest for the price is your best option, I looked for the rtmotion option but that was a 10k investment vs 1200

Are we talking these two items?

Couldn't find the right-handed Teradek Thumbwheel on CVP's website...

I got the correct cable from a local DJI store in Denmark.
Maybe see if you have any DJI stores close to you..

Also, what cable(s) would be required to get these two talking?

And would I be able to pair the motor with any remote / wireless follow focus controller, or would it have to be Tilta's?

Any news on this? Would love a thumb wheel for the nucleus M
