LENS For Epic-W

Hi everyone, dear forumites! I at you the newcomer. I have a question. I got the RED Epic-W chamber and to it ordered the lens Schneider Xenar, but for one moment I thought whether I made a right choice. The first is weight. I will use DJI Ronin whether I will be able to stabilize such lens on it? What excellent lens you can advise me?

Hi, and welcome! You'll likely receive differing recommendations as everyone has their favorite glass but thought I'd chime in as have been shooting a fair amount with a late Leica R cinevised lens set (in Canon EF mount) on my Epic-W lately and love the results (with no CA issues or resolution problems as of yet). Also I know a bigwig at DJI who bought a late Leica R lens set specifically for use on the Ronin and has only had great things to say about the combination. From what I gather Xenars may be a challenge to use on Ronin but that's not my area of expertise by any stretch...

Many thanks for your response. There is one more big problem, I live in Russia, the City of Moscow. And here very big restriction in lenses. At us sell only Zeiss CP.2, it is seldom possible to meet Arri Ultra Prime, Now saw Schneider Xenon ff, and still XEEN. That is the choice is very small.

I heard about them, but I know nothing. You have information on them? Personal experience?
