LEMO CABLE for RED TOUCH LCD"5

Hi,

I have a Scarlet-X with the 5.0" LCD RED TOUCH. That camera works flawless and very pleased with it. My question is regarding the LEMO connection between the body and the lcd, which is in my case I little too short. When I bought the Scarlet-X Package I received the shortest LEMO cable.
Is it possible to use a non-red LEMO cable for my camera, and instead buy a longer LEMO cable from a company here in Sweden?

Note.
(I dont have the time to order it from RED store, because I´v got a upcoming shot in a couple of days, and I need a longer cable.)

Hi Sebastian,

Lemo is basically a brand of connector. They come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes.

I'm 99% sure the cable in your link is not the right pin configuration, as Red has a custom wiring diagram for these, and it has many pins.

my honest advice if you need it sooner than it can ship from USA is to look in the used marketplace here on reduser under Red Gear. Google works well with reduser so I would try searching:

reduser FS LCD cable
reduser for sale LCD cable
reduser FS evF cable
reduser For sale evf cable

and you could also put Europe or Sweden for instance in your search.

I know it seems silly to rent just a cable but there may be a rental house or other reduser near you who could lend you or rent you a cable for your shoot.

also there is Red Europe - maybe call them up?

As Dan suggested - rent one local. Don't fry your monitor with a random third party cable with the wrong power wiring!

Find a local Reduser, I'm sure someone will rent you a longer cable for peanuts. Also, RED ships really quickly, I think I got my LCD cable in like two days when I needed a longer one.
