  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Leica Zoom (Rare) + EPIC -X + Wooden Camera AB mount...

Here is a macro shot black shaded to factory default and shot 24fps at 48 shutter...i am playing around with blackshade results, also this is shot 5:1

Regarding my Anton Bauer bricks, I LOVE this set up...using HC dionics on the Wooden Camera AB mount, its extremely simple and compact. You can hard mount the set up or just
quick swap if you prefer (what I do).

On the latest build 2.0.8, with a fully charged HC dionic brick I was able to get 01hr 44min 22sec until the camera shut down, this was in standby running the RED 5.6 touch screen LCD and a sidehandle. I have not tested how long I am getting shooting in the field but feels about an hour an half.
 
The AB charger will juice both bricks in aprox 4 hours, I am also living in a 700 year old house in the country so I dont know if that affects my charging time...not an electrician but just wanted to share. cheers.
 
Thought I would add that unfortunately I will be parting with the Leica Zoom 35-70 , I loved using this thing every single minute. Its ment, and had very little use so if any Leica lovers want to have a legendary and very rare zoom for their EPIC, dont hesitate to PM me or email clay at haskellfilms dot com. Cheers.
 
Does anyone know how this Leica zoom compares to the Contax 35-70 3.3? I know in the Zeiss community, its popularity has reached almost mythical proportions and they are getting harder, and harder to find. Similar characteristics: said to be as sharp as primes, no CA, and an incredible powerful macro function.

Were Lecia and Ziess perhaps trading blows? One trying to outdo another? Like Kobe Bryant and Jeremy Lin? (sorry, can't resist)

Best description I have heard of this lens. I am getting offers for it but having a hard time let go to be honest!

ITs just a myth, does not really exist :P
 
I regret selling it already...I got several offers and the deal is almost done. Thanks for the kind words, I try not to get too attached to anything these days. :)
