Leica mount

From what I read, RED is currently testing a Leica M mount but what about a Leica R mount?

Also out of curiosity, what if I put the Leica R to Canon adapter directly onto the canon mount... would I still be able to achieve infinity focus?

As long as the adapter is machined properly you should have no problem.
