Antoine,

Nikkor is now almost zoom lens brand only.

BTW, the best zoom are not Nikkor's niether Canon's as the most people think.

It's about a hype only.

Olympus are the best zooms but there are 4/3 only.

Maybe scarlet could benefit from those lenses.

Well, maybe it's also a matter of personnal taste.

I like Zeiss and Canon FDs very much also.

What is 4/3 ?

Four Thirds is the lens mount used by Olympus and Panasonic on their DSLRs. Sensor is smaller than DX/APS-C/Mysterium... But they would cover RED 3k.

Olympus have some excellent f/2.0 zooms, makes me wish someone would make a Four Thirds mount for RED.

I could not say for sure, really, both look very nice.

i sure could blind identify the Leica slight magenta typical dominance, and the warmth of the Nikkor but that's about all i can say. There is too much light difference to compare without "all other things beeing equal".

maybe keep both!

I'd say the Nikkor has more mood and the Leica is more reality.

...if it makes any sense.
