Leap - Trailer for my film

[DanGaud]

So here's the trailer for my little film called Leap. I've shot it in August 2008 and it took me one year to do all the visual effects during the little free time that I have.

Shot on RED in 2k using Build 17.

Thanks a lot Steve

The build up worked well, looked ok, but lingered on a few of the shots too long. Wished the staircase was lit a little more interestingly.
Good job otherwise.

[Adil Lahoulou]

It works very well as a teaser...because now I'm eager to see a trailer that reveals a bit more plot.

very nice.

Great stuff, Dan. Let me know if you need a composer to do original score sometime.

[Biagio Messina]

We loved Dan's piece LEAP and actually did a two-part story on it here:

[scott william]

agree. Looks exciting.

[Jeff Kilgroe]

Nice job. Makes me really want to see the film.

[DanGaud]

Hey, nice! Thanks everyone I really appreciate the feedback!

[Omar Chavez Jr]

Agreeing with Adil.. it's a teaser more than a trailer. It looks cool but not really sure what the heck is going on.

[DanGaud]

Omar, Adil.. You guys are totally right. It is indeed more a teaser than a trailer... but then again, it's a short film under 10 minutes so I felt that revealing pieces of the plot would have spoiled the whole thing. The point of the trailer (teaser) was mostly to make viewers go ''WTF'' and see If I could grab someone's interest with such an ambiguous piece.

Thanks for the comments guys! Really appreciate it.

[Bill Anderson]

Congrats Dan. It looks great. I look forward to seeing the film.

[Jim Perry Jr.]

Dan,
what tools (software) did you use for effect and grading?

[DanGaud]

Bill: Thanks a lot!

Jim: Editing was done in Final Cut. 3D was done with Softimage XSI and Mudbox. Compositing / rough grading is done in Nuke.

Definitely did that! :yesnod:

[Peter Mosiman]
