These unsuspecting partners thought they'd been invited to The Savoy London Hotel to do a food review, little did they know.....

Tradition suggests as it's a leap year, women can/should propose to their men. So Brides Magazine UK found 15 women willing to do this on camera. Their partners had no idea. It was fun and tiring to shoot. It was also a once in 4x years opportunity.

We shot on 4x Red Dragons (2x Epics and 2x Scarletts) mostly in 5K HD. We also delivered stills from the footage, so it was a true cross platform shoot. We had Low Light OLPF in all cameras and shot up to (or down to) 2000iso.

Lighting in the proposal area, was a mix of 2x Kino Flo Diva's for the faces and a mix of HMI fresnels for the background, with a Dedo 400 spot and Zylight F8 too. The Makeup area natural light was supplemented with an Area 48plasma and we also had a couple of Cineo Matchbox for run-n-gun type interviews. Lockit boxes kept everything in Sync.

Movement Shots are with our Ronin. Lenses used Zeiss Primes and Zoom (I love the cz 28-80) Powering the camera and Led and Plasma lights was our PAGS. We dual recorded the proposals using Sound Devices Pix 240's and Atomos Samurai (Bargain)

Please feel free to share widely or ask any questions.

Footage looks good but i think a woman doing that is a cheap shot knowing how hard it is for a man to feel like that's the one. i think they would have gotten a different result if the cameras weren't on them by the looks on their face, the women had to play it off by laughing.
