So I want to mount my LCD on top of my outrigger handle. But the screws seem too short. Here's images describing my question. Am I just missing something really obvious other than just getting longer screws? The one post I saw about this said the screws should be long enough. But I don't want to use this on a set with screws that are too long and people tighten them so much it destroys the holes in the Epic. I'm temporarily just mounting the LCD to the hole thats on top of the handle piece of the outrigger handle.

I'm using the screws that just came with the LCD and outrigger

I just ordered Brook's full metal jacket, but for lighter weight config's I'd still like to be able to put the LCD directly on the outrigger without any other parts.

Brandon, Ace Hardware caries 1/4 20's in all sorts of lengths. Cheap and easy to find. I've got a little plastic divider box with various sizes, spare wingnuts, BNC barrels etc. in each camera case. It's a lifesaver.

Ok thanks, I just wanted to make sure they aren't going to damage the precious.

Just be careful they're not too long. I think 7/8" will do it. I had some 1" ones and they were just a touch too long, so I buzzed the ends off slightly. Most major hardware stores only carry 1/4" and/or 1/2" increments, so you might need to go to a specialty shop or get out the grinder/sander.

1" ones work fine if you're screwing into the FMJ top plate. But like I said, mine were just a touch too long going through both the LCD and outrigger, directly into the camera brain.

Thanks everyone, went to the store and got a bunch, they work perfect.
