Hi I just got my Scarlet today, #678 and can't wait to start familiarize myself with it.
So to the 'small' (compare to others) problem, it seems that the lcd can not be screwed in solid on top of the scarlet.
No matter how hard I tighten the two black bolt screws, the lcd still wobbles and moves a little bit when I touch it.

Other people with this symptom, is it normal?

Can you post a photo of how/where you're mounting it? Doesn't sound normal.

^^^^

I'm guessing Colin is right here, if you use the holes with threading (on the LCD mount, not the top of the scarlet) then it's very difficult to make them flush, use the wholes that aren't threaded and you should be good. I believe it's the outer two.

I am soooo jealous of your serial number!!!! My girlfriend and I started dating June 7th 2008 "678" is out number. We use it for pass codes, pins and everything.

Make sure you are using the holes without threading in them

Colin

Wow, I can't believe I had to read this to figure it out! I was just trying to make sure that the threaded holes were lined up and as flush as possible before screwing the LCD down and usually it was OK but sometimes there was a slight wobble. Haha, this should have been obvious! Thanks, Colin.

Haha yeah it seems like 678 really is your number :P
I thought I was going to get a number in the thousands as I just received the camera yesterday, but I guess I need to look for some signs of the Universe to accustom myself to these numbers :)
