  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

LCD/monitor question

This has probably been asked, but can the RED LCD flip its image? Not real important, but just wondered if this feature was there . . . if it can, this allows me to immediately shoot in low-mode (with the camera upside-down) with almost ZERO re-rigging (very handy when you're stealing your locations)!

Surely if you rotate both the camera and the monitor then the image will still be the right way up?

Chuck, I know about "real" world prices, been in this biz a while. That's why I am so blown away by the price of the RED LCD, and just about everything else on the pricelist.

Jarred said in a post over the past couple of days that the RED LCD is daylight visible. Said he was suprised how bright the image was even outside in the sunshine. That's why I said no hood.

regarding Panasonic's model:

"The monitor is outfitted with an 800 x 450 pixel wide panel..."
