  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

LCD monitor protection

Too bad they don't have a 9" one.

I have used the same ones I use on mi iPad and iPhone, from different vendors, but at the end I removed them as I just didn't like having a plastic over the glass.


Let us know your tough if you do try it, but again, for me with no 9" option would not matter if it is good or not... ;)
 
Im not big on these sorts of things either.

I might use a touch pen. I don't like all the fingerprints. I do like how easy it is to operate the touchscreen.

Looking for the best of both worlds, if it exists.

Of course, this might be useless in the Toscana heat, it might just peel right off.

I have the ProKSolutions protectors on all of my devices. Work great. Optically clear, you really have to look to see if they are on there. Never had an issue with the touch screen with the cover on there. Solid product, If you email them they may in fact have a 9" solution.

Also Id hope this could be a factory fitted option.

Ive never found touch screens much good. Despite taking much care but eating pizza or quiche on the go and operating a touch screen I don't find compatible activities.

Ok. I've installed it. Installation was simple and it comes with two great little pieces, a small cleaning cloth that really gets the LCD clean, and a tiny squeegy, getting rid of any bubbles. Nice. Instructions were clear and easy.

now, I'm going to test it.

first test will be to see if it gets in my way, or dramatically changes what I am used to. Seems pretty seamless already.

Just reporting back on this.

its funny, I've been shooting for days on end and I completely forgot I had put this on the LCD. Then yesterday I was wondering why the screen was so clean (usually by mid day there are plenty of fingerprints) and I remember I had this installed.

So, I'm liking it, especially the lack of fingerprints.
