As written in cinematography.net forum:
"Law and Order is testing the red and giving it very serious consideration. I was on a job Sunday where they were using the Red and the same DP is shooting this week with the Red and my set of Zeiss superspeeds. The job Sunday was an exterior MOS shoot but the job this week is with sound. There have been complaints about the Red being noisy and I am waiting for the DP to come back and give me a report. The footage from Sunday looked great, which is why they' are going with the Red and the Super Speeds again."
AND
"Not that it necessarily means anything in this case, but shows don't get to make those kind of decisions unilaterally. A move like that would require studio approval, which means they would have to be satisfied that there is a post plan in place that they approve of. At this point, no studio, to my knowledge, has issued such approval. Not that they wouldn't, just that they haven't."
It will be interesting to see if Red will be a standard camera for the industry and to which niche? feature films? commercials? TV?
