What would be the next logical step up to an larger size from the light doome 2? Any favorites you like to recommend. Also it is fast to brake down and mount as the aputure light doome 2?

After a lot of research, I recently purchased the best soft boxes I have ever used, from SMDV. They are a Taiwanese company I think.

I have used many makes of soft box, but mainly the expensive profoto soft boxes. Before now I thought the fold out elinchrom soft boxes were very good, but these SMDV's are better all around. They are very quick, well made... and aren't branded like some Chinese brands.

I purchased mine straight from SMDV in Asia as I am based in New Zealand, and they were very good to deal with. They only have round soft boxes at the moment but I think they are working of rectangle.

Thanks, here is an image of that softbox for scale. I see they get bigger ones aswell but not on that site.

I like them because you can setup by just pull out each rod and they click into place, and sit the soft box flat on the ground and they have plastic ends to the rods that won't wear. they have a very taught shape and you can pull down with the diffusers still attached. The grid is very good quality too.

Those larger boxes are more umbrella types with the head pointing back into the umbrella. whoops, they are from Korea , not Taiwan.. http://smdv.co.kr

I ordered by messaging through their facebook page.
