  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Lady Gaga "applause" shot on ?

Pretty certain it's Epic MX. They stated that Jarred came by with Dragon, but it was never stated to be shot on Dragon. I wouldn't jump to conclusions until Jarred announces anything...

Yea, I love the abstract. This video has its moments and a few cool ideas. I guess when heard that Lady Gaga would be producing a new video...in my mind that translates to "unlimited budget and the best minds in the business." This video, in my personal opinion does not reflect that. Given, there are some 'pretty shots" in there. The over feel is weak sauce. I think the "scary - freaky" shots just came out a little silly. Could have been way way cooler. I get the "throwing a tantrum" shots...just didn't really work. I see what they were going for...but in my opinion, also came off a little silly.
 
Well I wasn't expecting much as a music video. The lighting, costumes, and setups all make for beautiful photo stills for print. Camera moves on those setups really calls for something else. As it is now, it's not that different from the Madonna videos from the 80/90's. But wow, 20 million views??? I had to watch with the audio off. LOL!
 
applause was shot on epic-x, a dragon was used as a second camera for a few setups.

Me too. Agreed.

As someone who is constantly restricted to micro budgets always looking to try and stretch the dollar in post because its my own time and I can, I watch this and think how average it looks. Maybe they were going for a raw, film student look. Hmm to think what I could one day do with a GaGa budget.
